Unfortunately, exfoliating in the shower can take circus-like stability to avoid slipping on the layer of oil that many body scrubs leave all over the tub. That’s why our sugar scrub is a balance of emulsifying oils (meaning they actually mix with water and wash away in the shower), and moisturizing oils.

Exfoliating both before and after hair removal helps would-be ingrown hairs to push through the skin and grow out instead of curling under. This is not for use on the face. Using sugar scrubs is pretty straightforward. Once in the shower, just grab a generous glop in your hands and massage it into your skin using a circular motion or back and forth strokes. Focus a little more attention on the rougher parts of your body, which include your elbows, knees, ankles, and the bottoms of your feet. Dead skin tends to accumulate here, so they’re basically begging for some exfoliating action. Once the sugar has basically dissolved on your skin rinse thoroughly and towel dry.
